Marketool Open Marketool

What's new

21 October 2026

  • No house numbers in post text. The post text Marketool fills in for you now gives the road, town and postcode ("Brockwell, Oakley, Bedford, MK43 7TD") and leaves out the house or flat number. This applies to banners, videos and auto-shared listings. Where a feed puts part of the address in the town box with its number, the number is taken out there too. You can still type a number into the post text yourself if you want one.
  • Make your post text sound better with AI, for free. Under the post text there's now a "Make it sound better with AI" section. Choose a tone (fun, friendly or polished), copy the ready-made prompt, paste it into Microsoft Copilot, Google Gemini or ChatGPT, then paste the answer back. The prompt tells the assistant to keep to the facts and never add a house number, but check every line before you post.
  • Long features show in full on banners. A feature too long for one line now carries on to a second line instead of being cut short. Banners you have already made are not changed; make them again to get the full text.
  • Your logo shows in full on bright photos. In the Light design, the logo now sits on a dark box like the price opposite, so white lettering no longer disappears into a pale sky. The status label moves down slightly to make room.
  • Footer details no longer run together. On the Light design, a long email address used to run straight into the website. They now always have a gap, and the website moves onto its own line when there isn't room.
  • Videos no longer sing AI instructions. If you paste lyrics from an AI assistant along with the prompt or its chat ("Sure! Here are your lyrics"), those lines are taken out before the song is made. Only the lyrics are sung.

17 October 2026

  • A fresher look. Pages sit on a soft grey background with white cards, the top bar floats above the page, and the page you're on is highlighted in the side menu.
  • Narrow the side menu to icons. On a computer, the side-menu button at the top left shrinks the menu to a row of icons, giving the page more room. Point at an icon to see its name. Click again to bring the full menu back; Marketool remembers your choice.
  • Choose your font. Under Appearance in the account menu, pick the standard fonts, Inter, or your device's own font. It's saved to your account, so it follows you to any device. Your banners and videos keep their own fonts.
  • A high-contrast theme. The Theme menu now has High contrast: black text, strong edges and no faint colours. "System" now follows your device's dark mode and increased-contrast settings too.

14 October 2026

  • Videos are 30 seconds unless you choose otherwise. The Length step now starts on 30 seconds. "Let the music decide" is still there if you want it.
  • The features show on phones now. In the tall video, the text used to sit right at the top and bottom edges, where Instagram puts its caption and buttons and Facebook trims the picture, so the features at the end were hidden. All the text now sits inside the part every phone shows. The feature tags are also bigger and on a dark background, so they can be read over a pale photo. Videos you have already made are not changed; make the video again to get the new version.
  • Deleting Instagram posts from Marketool works now. Instagram only accepts a delete from the account that signed in to Facebook, not from the Page, so it was refused every time. An administrator needs to connect Facebook once more (Settings > Facebook & Instagram, Connect a different Page, choose the same Page). That sign-in lasts about 60 days: Settings shows the date, and administrators get an email a week before it runs out. Publishing carries on either way.
  • Sold and let listings update their posts. When your feed marks a listing sold STC, under offer, reserved or let agreed, Marketool adds a line such as "UPDATE: Now let agreed." to the top of the Facebook posts it published for it. Instagram doesn't allow a caption to be changed, so the same line goes on as a comment. Each post's page shows that it was done, or why it couldn't be. A listing that simply disappears from your feed isn't announced, because Marketool can't tell why it went.
  • Auto-share new listings. In Settings > Facebook & Instagram, an administrator can tick "Auto-share and update new properties from the feed". From then on, each new listing your feed brings in gets a 30-second video, a square image and posts for Facebook and Instagram, made for you. Nothing is posted until an administrator approves it: the posts wait under "Waiting for approval" on the Schedule page, where you can change the wording and choose when each goes out, or reject it. Administrators get an email when there are posts to approve. Listings you already have are never shared, and at most 10 are made from one import. If you use ElevenLabs, each automatic video uses your credits.

13 October 2026

  • Design comes first. Creating a video now starts on a Design step: choose where the text sits and when it shows, then carry on to the property details.
  • A new look to start from. A new video starts on Top and bottom split, with the features arriving for the last 30%. Change either on the Design step.
  • Four new video layouts. Top and bottom split (status and town top left, price top right, features along the bottom), Reversed split, Lower third (a slim strip along the foot) and Price badge (the price on a block of your accent colour).
  • Choose when each part shows. The price and address can stay on throughout, show for the first 5 seconds and come back for the end, or arrive for the last 30%. The features have their own choice: with the price, all the way through, the last 30% only, or not at all.
  • Play a preview before you generate. Press Play preview to watch the video run with your photos, layout and timings. It has no music and uses no credits, so you can try as many designs as you like.
  • Write my own starts you with an empty box. Choosing "Write my own" for a video's lyrics now clears the box and moves the page down to the prompt you can copy into an AI assistant. If you had already written your own words, they come back instead.
  • Delete a video that is stuck or failed. Videos that are queued, still being made or failed now have a Delete button, in the "In progress and failed" list and on the video's own page. Deleting one clears it completely, so you can make a new video for that listing straight away.
  • Banners and videos no longer show the street. The Address line box has gone from both. The town and postcode is now the heading. Videos you have already made are not changed.

12 October 2026

  • Write your own song lyrics. On a video's Music step, choose "Write my own" and type the words you want sung. Leave it alone and you get lyrics from the listing, as before. A count under the box shows roughly how many lines fit, and warns you if you then pick a length too short for them.
  • A guide to writing a song that works. The same step now shows how to set out a verse and chorus, how to describe the sound you're after, and a prompt you can paste into Copilot or ChatGPT to have the words written for you.

8 October 2026

  • Schedule to Facebook and Instagram in one go. Under Schedule it, tick every platform it should go to under "Post to". Each becomes its own post on the schedule, so each can be published, retried or deleted separately.
  • Post now. A planned post that missed its time, or one you'd like out early, can be posted straight away from the schedule or the post's own page, once Facebook and Instagram are connected.
  • Marketool can publish to Facebook and Instagram for you. An administrator connects your agency's own Meta app and Facebook Page in Settings > Facebook & Instagram (the page walks you through it). Then, when you schedule a banner or video for Facebook or Instagram, tick "Publish it automatically" and it goes out at the time you chose - no reminder needed.
  • If a post can't be published, you'll get an email with Facebook's or Instagram's reason, and a Try again button on the post.
  • Delete a published post and Marketool removes it from Facebook or Instagram too. If they won't allow it, the post stays in Marketool with a "Remove from Marketool only" option.
  • Generated videos have their own section on the Slideshow videos page, with buttons to watch and share, download either format, or delete. Videos still being made, and any that failed, are listed separately.
  • Delete a video you no longer need. Whoever made it, or an administrator, can delete it, and it's removed from Marketool's storage. You can't delete a video while a planned post is due to use it, so delete or change that post first.
  • One video per listing. Once a listing has a video, its Create video button is greyed out with a link to the video, until that video is deleted. A video that failed doesn't count.
  • Delete planned posts from the schedule list, not only from the post's own page. Every delete now asks you to confirm, naming what's about to go.

7 October 2026

  • Listing Banners is now Marketool. It does banners, videos, a posting schedule and email signatures, so the old name had stopped describing it. The address is now marketool.mashreeves.com, and the old one still works.
  • Sign in first. Everything now sits behind your account. To look round without one, use the demo buttons on the sign-in page.
  • Try the demo as an administrator or a standard user. You'll be working for Larkmoor Homes, a made-up agency with its own brand and listings. The administrator demo shows the settings pages as well. Both are read-only, so nothing you do in the demo is saved.
  • New pages: About, Accessibility, Trust centre and this one, linked at the foot of every public page.
  • Accounts lock after five wrong passwords or five wrong codes in a row. You'll get an email saying so, and the lock lifts on its own.

30 September 2026

  • Choose when the text shows on a video. Keep it on from the start, or let the photos play clean and bring the text in for the last part of the video.
  • Your videos come first on the Slideshow videos page, and the listing picker shows ten at a time.
  • A note about credits before you generate. If your agency has added its own ElevenLabs key, the Generate step tells you a sung jingle uses credits on your plan.

29 September 2026

  • A fresh look. Lighter navigation, new type, and the same layout as the other tools in the family.
  • Jingles from your own ElevenLabs key. Pick a voice, describe the jingle and edit the lyrics, which start from the listing's own details.

September 2026

  • Slideshow videos. Turn a listing's photos into a square and a vertical video with music.
  • Branding, staff and music settings, so every banner and video carries your agency's logo, colours and contact details.
  • A posting schedule with reminder emails, a Post it panel with ready-made captions, and an email signature builder.
  • Listings feeds: connect an XML feed or a BLM file over FTP.
  • Accounts for every agency, with optional two-step sign-in, staff invites, and self-service account deletion you can undo for 30 days.
  • Six banner designs at four sizes, exported straight from your browser.
